Privacy Policy

Who we are

STX.BUZZ is a service of DrinkTwits, LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. You can reach us at stxbuzz@stx.ai.

What we collect

• A guest identifier — a random UUID per browser, used to track gameplay and BUZZ.
• A public wallet address — if you connect a wallet, we store the public principal address only.
• An email address — if you subscribe to Daily Buzz, sign in by email, or claim a durable identity.
• Gameplay records — answers, runs, streaks, standings, BUZZ ledger entries, and prize awards.
• Anti-abuse signals — hashed or truncated forms of your IP address and device characteristics, used only to detect multi-accounting, automation, and abuse. We store these as hashes and prefixes, not raw addresses.
• How you arrived — referral codes, campaign tags (UTM parameters), the referring page, and the page you landed on. This tells us which boards and campaigns bring players in.
• Linked-surface identifiers — if you play our official Telegram experience, your Telegram ID and username; if you link it to your STX.BUZZ account, the email you confirm.
• Optional profile identifiers — an X handle or BNS name, only if you choose to verify one.
• Basic technical data — the ordinary request logs our hosting provider keeps.

We do not collect your name, postal address, phone number, or payment details, because nothing on STX.BUZZ is for sale.

What we do with it

Run the game, credit BUZZ, compute streaks and standings, settle seasons and prizes, prevent cheating and abuse, understand which boards and campaigns bring players in, and — if you subscribed — send the Daily Buzz newsletter.

Email and how we use it

There are two kinds of email, and they work differently:

• Service email (sign-in links, verification codes, claim and prize notices, security or terms notices) is part of running the game. We send these to any email you've given us for your account, for as long as you have one.
• The newsletter (Daily Buzz) is optional. Subscribing requires you to confirm by clicking a link we send (double opt-in). Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not stop service email.

Our emails may include open and click measurement (links may route through links.stx.buzz) so we know whether our messages are useful. We use this in aggregate; we don't sell it or share it with advertisers.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal data. We don't run third-party advertising trackers. We don't access your wallet beyond its public address, and we never ask for a seed phrase or private key. We will never ask you to sign a transaction to play.

Public information

Your handle, scores, streaks, standings, board memberships, and contest entries and results may be displayed publicly — on leaderboards, board pages, and contest pages. If you'd rather not be identifiable, choose a handle that doesn't identify you. Prize deliveries recorded on a public blockchain are, by nature, public.

Linked surfaces (Telegram)

If you play our official Telegram experience, Telegram provides us your Telegram ID and username, and we keep your gameplay and BUZZ for that surface. If you link your Telegram play to your STX.BUZZ account (by confirming an email), we associate the two so your progress can travel with you. When we unify balances across surfaces, verified linked balances are merged into your STX.BUZZ account, as described in the Terms. Telegram itself is a separate service with its own privacy policy.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary with providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — database and authentication (gameplay records, BUZZ ledger, prize awards)
• Resend — service email delivery (sign-in links, verification, claim and streak notices)
• Beehiiv — newsletter delivery and double-opt-in confirmation (email address only)
• Railway — hosting for our Telegram bot and its API
• Cloudflare — hosting and ordinary request logs

These providers process data under their own terms and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Cookies and storage

We use localStorage for the guest ID, session, and lightweight UI preferences. No advertising cookies.

Please note: clearing your browser storage removes the guest identifier, and a guest BUZZ balance tied to it cannot be recovered. Claiming a name or connecting a wallet makes your progress durable.

Retention

We keep gameplay records for as long as your account is active. Inactive guest records may be deleted after 12 months without activity. Prize award records are kept longer where we need them for accounting or dispute resolution. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, we keep a suppression record of your address so we don't email you again.

Children

STX.BUZZ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, email stxbuzz@stx.ai and we will delete it.

Prizes delivered outside the platform are restricted to players 18 and over. We confirm age at the point an award is claimed, not at signup.

International players

Our data is hosted in the United States. If you play from outside the US, your data is processed there. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your data; we honor access, correction, and deletion requests regardless of where you live.

Your rights

Email stxbuzz@stx.ai to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your guest record, wallet association, email records, or newsletter subscription.

Deleting your record removes your BUZZ balance and standings, and forfeits any unclaimed award.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted in the product.
