Who we are
STX.BUZZ is a service of DrinkTwits, LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. You can reach us at stxbuzz@stx.ai.
What we collect
- A guest identifier — a random UUID per browser, used to track gameplay and BUZZ.
- A public wallet address — if you connect a wallet, we store the public principal address only.
- An email address — if you subscribe to Daily Buzz, or if you claim a durable identity.
- Gameplay records — answers, runs, streaks, standings, BUZZ ledger entries, and prize awards.
- Basic technical data — the ordinary request logs our hosting provider keeps.
We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or payment details, because nothing on STX.BUZZ is for sale.
What we do with it
Run the game, credit BUZZ, compute streaks and standings, settle seasons and prizes, prevent cheating and abuse, and — if you subscribed — send the Daily Buzz newsletter.
What we don't do
We don't sell personal data. We don't run third-party advertising trackers. We don't access your wallet beyond its public address, and we never ask for a seed phrase or private key. We will never ask you to sign a transaction to play.
Service providers
We share the minimum necessary with providers who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database and authentication (gameplay records, BUZZ ledger, prize awards)
- Beehiiv — newsletter delivery (email address only)
- Cloudflare — hosting and ordinary request logs
These providers process data under their own terms and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Cookies and storage
We use localStorage for the guest ID, session, and lightweight UI preferences. No advertising cookies.
Please note: clearing your browser storage removes the guest identifier, and a guest BUZZ balance tied to it cannot be recovered. Claiming a name or connecting a wallet makes your progress durable.
Retention
We keep gameplay records for as long as your account is active. Inactive guest records may be deleted after 12 months without activity. Prize award records are kept longer where we need them for accounting or dispute resolution.
Children
STX.BUZZ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, email stxbuzz@stx.ai and we will delete it.
Prizes delivered outside the platform are restricted to players 18 and over. We confirm age at the point an award is claimed, not at signup.
Your rights
Email stxbuzz@stx.ai to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your guest record, wallet association, or newsletter subscription. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your data; we honor these requests regardless of where you live.
Deleting your record removes your BUZZ balance and standings, and forfeits any unclaimed award.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted in the product.
