Terms of Service

1. The game

STX.BUZZ is a free-to-play, skill-based daily trivia and prediction game operated by DrinkTwits, LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("we", "us"). No purchase is necessary to play, to earn BUZZ, or to be eligible for any prize. By using STX.BUZZ you agree to these Terms.

2. BUZZ

BUZZ is a loyalty point. It has no cash value, is not for sale, is not transferable between players, and is not an investment, security, or financial instrument. BUZZ cannot be purchased. We may adjust BUZZ balances to correct errors or abuse.

3. Eligibility

To play, you must be at least 13 years old and old enough to use the service where you live.

To claim a prize, you must be at least 18 years old. Players under 18 may play, earn BUZZ, appear on leaderboards, and win standings — but any prize delivered outside the platform, including on-chain delivery to a wallet, is available only to players 18 or over.

Some features may be unavailable where prohibited by law. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

4. Conduct

No cheating, automation, multi-accounting, or abusive behavior. We may suspend or retire accounts that violate these rules, and may remove an account from standings, leagues, and prize eligibility.

5. Boards

A board is a community-branded leaderboard inside STX.BUZZ, with its own questions, members, and standings, at stx.buzz/t/SYMBOL.

Boards represent communities and projects. STX.BUZZ does not endorse, recommend, or sell any token, and board placement is not for sale. A board is not an endorsement of the community that runs it, and we are not responsible for statements made by a board owner or its members.

Boards may be operated in partnership with a named board owner who accepts a separate board-owner agreement. That agreement governs the partnership; these Terms govern your use of the service as a player.

6. Seasons, leagues, and prizes

Seasons run for a calendar month unless we state otherwise. We may run leagues, matchdays, tournaments, or other competitive formats between boards or between players.

Entry is free. There is no fee, in BUZZ or otherwise, to join a season, league, or competition.

We may offer prizes for standings. Where prizes are offered:

• The prize for a given season or competition is announced in advance of settlement, and is awarded at our discretion in accordance with the announced rules.
• A prize is not BUZZ, is not redeemable for BUZZ, and is separate from any BUZZ balance.
• An award may carry a claim deadline. An award not claimed by its deadline expires and no substitute is owed.
• Claiming an award may require verifying an identity or wallet, and confirming you are 18 or over. We will tell you what is required at claim time.
• Standings are computed from our records, which are final. We may correct or void a result affected by error, abuse, or collusion, including after settlement.
• Staff, team, administrator, test, and demo accounts are not eligible for prizes and are excluded from prize standings.

Nothing here obliges us to offer a prize in any given period.

7. Guest play and unclaimed BUZZ

You may play as a guest without a wallet or an account. Guest progress is tied to an identifier stored in your browser.

If you clear your browser storage, use a private window, or switch devices, a guest balance and its history may be permanently lost. We cannot recover a guest balance without that identifier. To make progress durable, claim a name or connect a wallet.

Unclaimed guest BUZZ may be removed after 12 months of inactivity.

8. What you submit

You keep ownership of what you submit — answers, board content, campaign entries, and feedback. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and reproduce it for the purpose of operating and promoting STX.BUZZ. You are responsible for having the rights to whatever you submit.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that standings, BUZZ balances, or awards will always be accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DrinkTwits, LLC and its members, officers, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost BUZZ, arising from your use of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance. Where a change materially affects prizes or an award you already hold, we will give notice in the product.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Before filing a claim, you agree to email stxbuzz@stx.ai and try to resolve the matter informally for thirty days. Any claim not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
